Norwich Cathedral

Norwich Cathedral

Construction of Norwich Cathedral commenced in 1096 and was completed in 1145 with the Norman tower still visible today.

Norwich Cathedral features a large section of cloisters – the second largest in the UK, after Sailsbury Cathedral. The Cathedral spire is the second tallest in the UK.

The Cathedral is home to a modern refectory, in the same place of what was once the dining area for the monks who inhabited the Cathedral!

Alongside worship, extraordinary events are held, including a Helter Skelter, which took pride of place in July 2019, intended to give visitors better views of the detail.

Don’t miss Christmas with Norwich Cathedral Choir – a celebration of Christmas music, on Friday 13th December! Meet ‘Dippy the Dinosaur’ from the Natural History Museum in Summer 2020.
