Norwich Cathedral

Construction of Norwich Cathedral commenced in 1096 and was completed in 1145 with the Norman tower still visible today.

Norwich Cathedral features a large section of cloisters – the second largest in the UK, after Sailsbury Cathedral. The Cathedral spire is the second tallest in the UK.

The Cathedral is home to a modern refectory, in the same place of what was once the dining area for the monks who inhabited the Cathedral!

Alongside worship, extraordinary events are held, including a Helter Skelter, which took pride of place in July 2019, intended to give visitors better views of the detail.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet ‘Dippy the Dinosaur’ from the Natural History Museum in Summer 2020.

Happisburgh Lighthouse

Happisburgh lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse on the Norfolk Coast, which is open to visitors on selected days each year.
